Custom Spirits & Cask Shares

Buy in to a cask of spirits in 1/10 increments. Round up some spirit fanatic friends to share the journey with, or let us connect you with a group of folks who love spirits as much as you do. Here’s how it works:

• Choose what spirit or mash bill you’d like to invest in
• You pay up front for your % of the distilling services, to cover the cost of making the spirit.
• The group cooperates to choose the cask, barrel char, and cask strength – which we’re happy to help with
• The group can make the spirit with our guidance, can help us make the spirit, or we can make it for y’all – for any or all of the steps of mashing, stripping, finishing, diluting, and casking
• We store and age the spirit, and you pay your % of the annual fee for storage.
• Each year on the anniversary of casking, we check on how it’s progressing by doing a barrel pull and comparing it to last year’s. You can be there, or we can mail it to you within Canada.
• The group decides when the spirit is ready, and what the bottling strength will be.
• The group can bottle it, help us bottle it, or we can do it for you.
• You buy your % of the finished bottles from us at the LCBO minimum price for spirits ($28.75 / 750 ml in 2022)

Standard pricing starts at $435 + HST per 1/10 share + $5 per year aging + LCBO minimum price per bottle of finished spirit, which includes:

• All consulting services
• All ingredients – grain, water, yeast, enzymes
• All steps of production, including aging and bottling
• Use of one of our standard 200 litre casks (once-used), and re-casking if necessary or desired
• Annual barrel pull
• Dilution and bottling in our then-standard bottle, stopper, and label with your custom spirit name
• LCBO lab testing fees if required
• Finished spirit made available at

Optional add-ons priced on a case-by-case basis include:

• Non-standard casks, such as virgin oak, or finishing
• Custom labels, bottles, stoppers, and other packaging (the whole cask must be packaged the same)
• Postage to mail annual barrel pulls (on an individual basis)
