Cocktail Recipe: Dark n’ Stormy

Ontario gets awfully hot, hazy, and humid in the summertime, which calls for crisp, refreshing cocktails at your backyard gatherings. The Dark n’ Stormy is super easy to make, and isn’t well known, so it’s an excellent secret weapon to surprise your friends. The subtle tropical flavours of our Blackstrap Rum make for an interesting twist on the classic recipe, though you could also use the unaged Blackstrap in its place.

Dark n’ Stormy

Fill a highball glass with ice, and pour in:

  • 1.5 oz Last Straw Distillery Blackstrap Rum

  • Juice of 1/2 lime

  • 4-6 oz Ginger Beer to taste

Stir gently, garnish with lime, and enjoy with friends!

Blackstrap Rum is available in our bottle shop in Vaughan, or can be ordered online for delivery anywhere in Canada.
