We suck at cocktails. We’ll be the first to admit it. We’re a bunch of straight whisky drinkin’, if it ain’t 80% abv it’s watered down, keep that ice away from my liquor kind of folks. I mean, we’ll drink cocktails, we’re just rather inept at combining flavours in a way that’s enjoyable. Mike’s first attempt at a cocktail was gin & orange crush. Highly not recommended. So, we like to leave the mixology to people with a talent for it. People like Flor, aka Savage Cocktails, an instagrammer from just down the road in Toronto. We asked her to come up with a few recipes for our cocktail rolodex, and she was more than happy to oblige.
First, go follow her Instagram, and show her feed some love from us. Once you’re done drooling over her creativity and barware, grab your bottle of Gin Twenty-One, and follow along in the home version of a fruity, refreshing gin cocktail that’ll brighten even the dreariest late fall day.
Last Batch: 21
Shake together with ice:
-
1.5 oz Last Straw Distillery Gin Twenty-One
-
0.5 oz Amaro Nonino
-
0.5 oz Triple Sec
-
2 dashes orange bitters (we like Nickel 9 Distillery’s Grapefruit Orange – #supportlocal)
-
0.5 oz cucumber syrup
-
1 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
Strain into a sexy cocktail glass, and try not to drink it too fast.
